Limited to 2 participants. This workshop meets from 5-8pm, Monday & Tuesday evenings for two consecutive weeks:

• July 15 and 16

• July 22 and 23

This technically-focused workshop is a fast-paced introduction to the stone lithographic process. Stone lithography is often complicated and requires precision, attention to detail, and patience.

Students will learn the process of grinding a stone by hand, drawing an image with grease crayons, etching, and printing in black ink. While printing, students will work in a team to assist one another in learning how to properly print a basic edition of their artwork.

At the end of the workshop each student will walk away with a hand printed edition of 8 of their stone lithograph, measuring 11 x 7.5 inches.

All materials included. No experience necessary.
