Artist's Statement
My art is an exploration of emotional, physical, sexual, poignant relationships and elemental intimate interrelationships. Emotionally connected acquaintances are disrobed and deconstructed to reveal minimalistic forms breaking across a horizon line. These figures are stripped of all identifying markers allowing the simplistic posture, size, shape, color, and proximity of the reduced forms to tell narratives that are active and reactive to one another. These familiar vignettes reveal fundamental interactions and attitudes found within relationships and place private, confidential emotions on display. |
